If you weren’t shocked about seeing Gemma Ward open the Prada runway this past week, you are a flat-out-liar! However, we forgive you because we are so gosh darn excited about her making an appearance, we can’t stay mad at anyone!
In case you are unfamiliar, the Australian model, who made her debut in 2003 at Australian Fashion Week, left the fashion scene in 2008 after the death of her close friend, Heath Ledger.
Rest in peace Heath.
But, after an six year absence from the runways, we are so pleased to say that she is back and looking better than ever!
Now signed with IMG Models, Gemma appears to be making the comeback we have all been waiting for and there is nothing that could have made this Fashion Month any better.
During Gemma’s time away from fashion, she pursued and acting career and even played alongside Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides but of course, we love her most gracing the pages of our glossies and strutting down the runways of fashion weeks all around the world.
We are so pleased to have her back and we hope you are too! She is this week’s Woman Crush Wednesday and for sure many more weeks to come.
